Archery rut buck

This was one epic hunt.. so to start things off we were almost two our set up when we spotted a mature 120’s class 8point standing 10yrds from our spot.. though there was a shot there, I felt uncomfortable and ultimately let him get out of there. I looped downwind of the direction he headed towards and would set up an improvised brush blind 30yrds from a fresh scrape… I guess I choose right because within the next 30 minutes at most this guy comes cruising through and gave me the perfect opportunity.. the crossbow did a number on him and he barely made it 20yrds. Could not ask for a more ethical shot. So grateful for the freezer full, and I couldn’t be happier with him. I’m a sucker for the oddball racks!
